Through a series of paintings and sculptures, Ajantha Ranaweera explores the idea of power, in his ongoing solo exhibition, Gaman Māligā . Rooted in Rasa theory and local mythology, Ranaweera’s practice draws upon his training in architecture to interrogate inherited systems of knowledge, seeking to decolonise established narratives while forging a distinct contemporary visual language.
