For one long weekend each November, Mumbai turns into a living canvas with Art Mumbai bringing together the best of South Asian and global art across a single fair. Transforming Mahalaxmi Racecourse into a vibrant meeting ground for artists, collectors, and galleries from across the globe, this year’s edition spans over 2,000 artworks and 82 exhibitors, including nine international galleries. From a centennial retrospective on Tyeb Mehta to rare works by Damien Hirst, Picasso, and Anish Kapoor, the fair captures the breadth of modern and contemporary creativity. Beyond the racecourse, the city itself becomes a cultural circuit, with Art Deco Alive! and a wave of parallel exhibitions turning Mumbai into one big cultural playground. Between the pavilions, parties, and parallel shows, we asked artists, collectors, tastemakers and culture vultures to tell us how to see—and savour—it all.
