Mirages of Our Dreams: Manaram Gamage
Saskia Fernando Gallery is pleased to present Manaram Gamage’s upcoming solo exhibition, Mirages of Our Dreams. Working with industrial material ranging from steel to cement, Gamage examines the visible and invisible structures that constantly shape our reality. Through the physical form, the exhibition investigates the constraints it imposes and our restless desires to break free from it.
Manaram Gamage (b.1997, Galle, Lives and Works in Pannipitiya) explores his inner world through the visual medium, using the solitary human figure as a central motif to delve into introspection and the search for meaning. Gamage’s work often features dark, sombre hues—blacks, browns, and muted grays—that convey deep emotional and existential complexity.
Gamage holds a BVA (Hons) in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo (2022). He presented solo exhibition at Paradise Road Galleries, Colombo and Saskia Fernando Gallery, Colombo (2024).
