My art grapples with the emotional torture families endure as their questions perditions, unanswered. Haunting memories, imagination and fear fill my work as suffocating mental constructions that strangle those imaging the suffering of their family members and their own ability to help them. They are trapped between surrealism and reality where dissappearances themselves disappear; they vanish from political discourse and collective memory.
