Silent Auction in Aid of the Ceylon School for the Deaf & the Blind

We are pleased to announce this year’s Silent Auction, a fundraiser event for The Ceylon School for the Deaf & Blind, that will take place at the Saskia Fernando Gallery at 41 Horton Place on 6th November 2015. A silent auction is a fundraising technique frequently used at charity events. It differs from the typical auction conducted by an auctioneer who calls out the prices for items and then takes the raised hands or paddles of people as bids at a certain price. Both artists and art collectors have graciously donated pieces of art to be auctioned at this fundraising event. The exhibition will feature works by Basil Cooray, Chandraguptha Thenuwara, Abdul Halik Azeez, Jagath Weerasinghe, Prageeth Manohansa, Pramith Geekiyanage, Saskia Pintelon, Vajira Gunwardene, Pryantha Udagedara, Shaanea Mendis, Muvindu Binoy, Branka Ridici and more.
