A4A OPEN CALL

Grants for Artists

Inviting all young and aspiring artists and designers in Sri Lanka to send in their applications for the A4A Production Fund. The Artists for Artists Production Fund (A4A) is Sri Lanka’s first publicly funded arts grant, initiated by the Udayshanth Fernando Foundation in collaboration with Saskia Fernando Gallery in 2021.

The initiative aims to create a homegrown environment that encourages art practitioners to push the limits of their creative potential and continue researching and developing new bodies of work.

Selected young artists and designers will be granted the opportunity and funding to develop their proposed project, including a year-long mentorship with Senior Artists, Art Educators, and Industry Professionals. The final phase of the initiative will conclude with a group exhibition of works created by the grantees of the production fund, providing the young artists with exposure and the opportunity to showcase their work.

Artists based in Sri Lanka are encouraged to apply irrespective of age, career stage or medium of practice. Artists who are early or emerging in their careers are especially encouraged to apply.
