Thenuwara's Glitch series delves into the shortcomings of democratically elected systems. The artist compares the persistence of social and political issues despite the change in governments to the distortions on the television screen when the voltage fluctuates or issues arise. The corrupted images are thus likened to the maladministration. The series laments the absence of political will and accountability, urging citizens to exercise their rights to demand action on socioeconomic issues and to actively pursue measures for reconciliation.
