PRSFG is proud to present Depths of Silence, the first solo exhibition by Manaram Gamage as a represented artist. Centred on the solitary human figure, Depths of Silence examines the universal experience of solitude as it manifests in the body. In Gamage’s intuitive sculptural practice, the inherent resistance of raw materials grapples with the unyielding persistence of the maker’s hand. Blurring the boundary between abstraction and figuration, the artist erects a visceral expanse where the human condition is laid bare.
Manaram Gamage (b.1997) holds a BVA (Hons) in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo (2022). He presented his first solo exhibition at Paradise Road Galleries, Colombo (2024).
