Invitation to Hanuman takes inspiration from the tapestry of Hindu mythology. In Hindu scripture watermelons are noted as one of Hanuman’s favourite foods and are commonly used as offerings at temples dedicated to the monkey god. Positioned on a dining table amidst a lotus field, the fruit assumes the significance of a sacred offering. Exploring themes of devotion and invitation, Prageeth examines the complex interplay of regional identity and diplomacy through the guise of mythology.
