The artist reminiscences the island’s political history through the artefacts that dominated the visual landscape of Sri Lanka since the 1980s. Tyres, barrels, barbed wires and metal crowd control barricade, each have become etched in the public conscious as reminders of a significantly dark part of the island’s political history - starting with the 1987 uprising and the civil war, followed by the camps for internally displaced people and the Aragalaya in 2022.
