Hansika Herath is a visual artist primarily working with the woodcut printing technique. Her woodcut prints highlight the rustic beauty and experiences of Sri Lanka's vilages. Her work is concerned with themes of nature and harmony which is driven by the recurrent female figure that is central to her work. Her works bring to light the characteristics of Sri Lanka's predominantly matriarchal society.
