Thenuwara references the colours often associated with the visual imagination of Sri Lanka's political landscape in his work Green while ponders on the inevitability of glitches in system. The artist compares the persistence of social and political issues that continue to exist despite changes in governments to the act of changing channels and the distortion that occurs when the voltage fluctuates. Glitch+ imitates the distorted images of the television screen as the artist contemplates political amnesia and the corruption that has intensified.
The series which continues from Glitch (2016), contemplates the rhetoric of nationalistic ideas, and the need for revived democratic energy and revolution to dispel continuing issues of corruption, political decadence, rising nationalism and religious fanaticism, failing bureaucracy and economic pressure.
