In Erasing Camouflage, Thenuwara laments the attempts by both the military and government to downplay the brutality of the three-decade long Sri Lankan Civil War, masquerading these efforts as steps toward demilitarization. Upon closer inspection, the white camouflage pattern reveals itself to resemble bodies draped in shrouds, ultimately forming a depiction reminiscent of a mass grave. In this depiction Thenuwara underscores the undeniable nature of the conflict's violence, emphasizing the imperative to address it rather than allowing it to remain unresolved.
