Saskia Fernando Gallery is pleased to present Pradeep Thalawatta’s solo presentation, Go Home is Within Me. Informed by the emotionally charged atmosphere of resilience and awakening of political conscience, this exhibition revisits the memories of struggle and solidarity incubated at the site of the Aragalaya. Working with materials such as sandpaper, tar, and photographs of the protest site, Pradeep Thalawatta draws parallels between the collective political aspirations of the masses and the private dreams and desires of the more intimate domestic realm.
